Job Huntings
Recently applied a couple of jobs at jobstreet and pps. Only one from jobstreet got back. It a recruitment agency and the position offered is recruitment executive. The job require someone to take care of the recruitment part, which consist of interviewing , building relationship with the HR people from other companies so that when they is opened posts they will inform you and thirdly abit of sales factor, encouraging people or selling the position. There is a target to reach every month, as a goal to keep people moving. Its a small company, with 5 people.
I do not have much confident in small company due to my experience that my current company is facing financial difficulties. But still, being young and inexperience i do not mind if they are willing to employ me because this job will build up my soft skills improving my interpersonal skills and confident.
He conducted a very detail interview, and i know fully what i required to know. Seems like he is considering to employ me but i screwed it up.
When the interviewer ask me if there is any questions about the job scope, i questioned about the building relationship part and claim that it is fake. Sounded very unprofessional, naive and silly. Later i wanted to round it up but i still cannot bring myself to say that i can do it. :(
Well, i do understand that in reality, this is what happens, but i do not like myself to be fake. I know i am stupid, but i know that one day i will understand that "building relationship with customer" is an essential and not something fake.
